Pongo Publishing is offering a one-day workshop in techniques for teaching therapeutic writing. The workshop will show you how to use poetry to help distressed teens understand and express their important issues and feelings.
In addition, Pongo Publishing offers a free consultation to any agency or school that participates in the workshop, to help you start your own teen poetry group. We recommend that you send a team of two or more people to the workshop — so that they can support one another in setting up your own youth poetry program.
Please note: In order to use Pongo’s techniques to best effect, for yourselves and with youth, workshop participants must be willing to WRITE THEIR OWN POETRY! (We can help.)
The cost is $80, payable in advance, and submitted with a registration form. (FINANCIAL AID IS AVAILABLE!)
