Middle Grade and YA Submission Calls

on September 1, 2011

It’s September and things are picking up again. Here are a couple new submission calls for middle grade and young adult manuscripts:

Move Books is a new publisher looking for middle grade books for boys. All manuscripts must be boy-centered stories or topics, and they are looking for books which have the potential to develop into a series. The founder of Move Books is Eileen Robinson who is former Scholastic editor and editorial consultant. Move Books’ mission is to inspire boys to read for pleasure, and build their imaginations through books that resonate with them.  Move Books publishes middle-grade books for boys: books they want, books that matter to them.

Read their submission guidelines here.

And in the world of YA manuscripts, Carolrhoda Lab is open to unsolicited YA manuscripts right now. But, be sure to check out what they are NOT looking for!
