Plotting the Romance for Teens/Tweens Workshop

on September 10, 2011

On October 3, I’ll be teaching an on-line workshop, “Plotting the Romance for Teens and Tweens.” The workshop is a part of the Muse On-Line Conference, and registration is free! Once you register, you’ll be able to access the conference (including my workshop) through a Forum.

Plotting the Romance for Teens and Tweens Workshop Description:
First love is one of the most popular topics in tween and young adult novels. But first love can be complex, and it can be challenging to structure and pace our stories. So, how do we structure and pace romance stories for teens without overwhelming ourselves or them? We can understand the five stages to falling in love and craft our teen romance stories using these stages. This workshop will help you understand the five stages of falling in love and provide you will writing prompts to help structure your first love story for teens and tweens.

The Muse Conference is a week-long conference in which you can participate in one-day workshops, week-long workshops, and chat rooms. You can also sign up to pitch to an agent including: Caryn Wiseman of Andrea Brown and Laurie McClean of Larsen Pomada Agency. MuseItUp Publishing (The Sponsor of the Conference) will also be taking pitches!

Registration ends September 25, 2011.
