Musa Publishing Anniversary Blog Hop

on September 30, 2012

Musa Publishing is having an anniversary blog hop and giving away a FREE KINDLE FIRE. All you have to do to enter to win the FREE KINDLE FIRE is comment on Musa blogs during the hop. Each blog that you comment on will enter you into the drawing for the FREE KINDLE FIRE. To find a list of the blogs in the hop, go here, or click on the image above.

There are also FREE BOOKS to be won during the hop. Each Musa author will be giving away either one of their books or if their book is not yet published, the Musa author is giving away a book from their Musa imprint.

I am giving away a copy of STAINED GLASS SUMMER in any ebook format. There is also a free discussion guide available at my website here.

STAINED GLASS SUMMER is on Facebook and STAINED GLASS SUMMER is on Goodreads.

Twelve-year-old Jasmine wants to be an artist. But, can she escape the shadow of her artistic Father to discover her own path as a glass artist?

Story Blurb: Twelve-year-old Jasmine adores her photographer Father and wants to be an artist just like him. But when Dad abandons the family, Jasmine is sent to spend the summer with her Uncle on a Pacific Northwest Island. Soon, Jasmine is learning stained glass from island glass artist, Opal, and thinking she might just be developing a crush on Island boy, Cole. But, it’s not until Jasmine finds herself mentoring another young artist that she can truly let go of her Father and call herself an artist by her own terms.

Sounds charming! Just made my first visit to British Columbia the past summer and loved it. The Pacific Northwest would be a great spot for a book. 🙂

Stained Glass Summer? What an interesting and neat title.

    • Thanks Catherine! The title to the book was Girl on a Thin Wire. Then, freelance editor, Sarah Cloots read the book and thought it didn’t sound as “edgy” as the title, She suggested Stained Glass Summer, and I’m so glad she did!

  5. Lovely blog! Congrats on the one year anniversary of Musa!!

Sounds like a wonderful story, and love reading about the Pacific Northwest, such a pretty area.

  7. Mindy–sounds like an interesting book. I like the cover, too. See you around the hop.

  8. Are you a stained-glass artist, or did you have to do research? What a unique talent to have in your book!

    • I’m not a stained glass artist! I had to take a couple classes in Stained Glass. I had a really hard time with them. They seemed to use a lot of geometry from high school days–not my favorite class at all!

      • Ha ha. I didn’t like geometry either. I was much better with the higher maths for some strange reason.

I’m glad you got a chance to experiment with stained glass though. I find that type of art to be fascinating. Could sit and stare at the windows for hours.

The book sounds and looks wonderful. I love stained glass windows they tell a story in themselves. Good luck with the sales.
